Le Goûter
In France, “Le Goûter” evokes this simple childhood habit after returning from school : the aroma of biscuits fresh from the oven, the sound of French toast caramelising in a buttered frying pan, the sight of a hot drink still steaming and the promise of shared indulgence. Today, it has been reinvented and has become an elegant interlude in the day.
I am creating a tailored menu for you, entirely sweet, to be enjoyed at home around 4-5 p.m., combining traditional and modern pastry. Sweet treats that are more balanced, fresh and seasonal, without compromising on flavour.
This menu will be accompanied by a selection of teas, chosen with the utmost care to harmonise with the desserts on offer, reminiscent of the codes and elegance of British tea time.
